Note Pastoralist. Born Mark Rubinstein in Lithuania in 1867, he arrived in Broome in 1900 where he became a leading pearl dealer and pearling fleet owner. He purchased several large sheep stations in Western Australia and Queensland in 1912-1913, and other properties in the Northern Territory. When he died in 1919, the running of his business assets was left to his son Harold de Vahl Rubin.

Includes records for the De Grey River Pastoral Company which handled the affairs of the adjoining De Grey, Mulyie and Ettrick stations. Also records of the Trustees responsible for his estate. WA station records include those of Warrawagine, Muggon, Tibradden, Yallalong, De Vahl, De Grey, Mulyie, Ettrick, and Balfour Downs stations.
