This fixes Charon's departure from Broome at about Sunday 22 October.
I made the mistake of presuming that because Davis was travelling by Charon (see "Bon Voyage", 28 October), he was sailing north via Singapore. But the dates do not line up. More likely, he was taking Charon south to Fremantle to catch one or other of the big liners.
