BOUNTIFUL RAINS.
Port Hedland, Feb. 9.
Probably the present season up to date represents a record for the district, almost if not every portion having benefited by the bountiful rains which have fallen right through to Peak Hill. It is many years since such good rains have been recorded so frequently over large areas as during the past six weeks. Last night 110 points were registered here. It was a splendid soaking rain, and a number of other places shared in the downpour which seems to have been general.
