WHIM CREEK MINE.

REPORTED CLOSING DOWN.

A telegram, addressed to Mr. Alex. McCallum, general secretary of the A.L.F. was received at the Trades Hall, Perth, yesterday, from the secretary of the Miners' Union at Whim Creek. It stated that the mine had closed, and that 200 men had been discharged, the majority of whom were stranded. The message refers to the Whim Creek copper mine.
