ROYAL COMMISSION IN PEARLING INDUSTRY.

MELBOURNE, Friday.

The inquiries being made by the Royal Commission appointed by the last Federal Government in regard to the practicability of white labour being employed in connection with the pearling industry were further advanced to-day, when advantage was taken of the presence in Melbourne of an experienced diver named John Nowry, from whom evidence favourable to the employment of whites was taken.

The Commission adjourned sine die.
