MURDER BY NATIVES

BETWEEN DERBY AND WYNDHAM.

Perth. July 23.

What is believed to have been a terrible tragedy is reported from Broome, but the particulars are meagre. According to a telegram received by Mr. Male, M.L.A., from that town, the Fremantle ketch Wanderer the Second, which has been prospecting up the coast between Derby and Wyndham, has been discovered at a certain, point with all sails set. Several natives were just leaving her. The telegram added that the ketch had been brought to Broome. It is practically certain that the brothers Maguire, the two owners of the ketch, and one Neumann have been murdered.
