TROUBLE AT WHIM CREEK.

MINERS' PRESIDENT DISMISSED.

Roebourne, April 28.

The president of the Miners' Union at Whim Creek has been discharged from his employment. The miners consider that he has been victimised because of his protest against the lease of the Balla Balla jetty. They waited on the mine manager asking for his reinstatement. The manager reserved his decision. If the men's request is not granted, trouble will eventuate. Mr. Gardiner, member for the district, leaves here tomorrow for Whim Creek.
