ROUGH TIMES AT PORT HEDLAND.

PORT HEDLAND, Mar. 30.

The heavy rains reported on Friday extended over a large area. At Port Hedland 1,074 points were recorded and at Condon 1,161 points. The train from Marble Bar, which was due on Thursday last, has not yet arrived and is not now expected for two or three days. The steamer Bullarra lay outside for 37 hours. The captain states that he considers the blow was as severe as that of last year when the Koombanna was lost. He did not expect to find Hedland standing, and he thought that the steamer Western Australian, which has been in port since Wednesday last, would be among the mangroves.

The blow was not so severe at Hedland as last year's, and no damage was done.
