The Labour Trouble at Whim Creek.--Mr. A. McCallum, secretary to the Metropolitan Council of the Australian Labour Federation, received yesterday a telegram from Mr. John O'Neill, secretary to the A.W.A. at Whim Creek, on the subject of the labour trouble at that place. Mr. O'Neill states that the men had ceased work as the combine refused to grant a living wage, and also insisted on shovellers doing underground work with ten hour shifts. Mr. McCallum understands that some 80 men are affected.
