CLAIM PEGGED IN A GARDEN.

WHIM CREEK MINERS' ACTION.

Whim Creek, Oct. 17.

A member of the local miners' union pegged out a claim this morning in the garden area worked by Chinese. This action was merely taken to enable some satisfactory climax to be reached as regards ownership. The Warden, when asked if any garden areas existed and were held by aliens, replied that a search disclosed none. No information had been forthcoming from the local police on the subject, hence the action of claim-pegging. No damage was done to the garden. The local miners' union are determined to remove aliens if possible.
