LOSS OF KOOMBANA.

MONTORO'S MESSAGE.

Brisbane, Friday.

The s.s. Montoro arrived today from Singapore, on her first trip to Australia. The new vessel is an exceptionally fine ship, being built to suit a tropical climate.

It was reported shortly after the loss of the Koombana that the Montoro received from the missing ship a message that ended in a blurr. Captain Wilson stated that no such message was received by the Montoro, as in a wireless communication with the Koombana two days before the cyclone, the latter ship then reported all well.
