Loss of Koombana.

Montoro's Message.

Brisbane., Friday.--The s.s. Montoro arrived to-day from Singapore, on her first trip to Australia. The new vessel is an exceptionally fine ship, being built to suit a tropical climate.

It was reported shortly after the loss of the Koombana that the Montoro received a message from the missing ship, a message which ended in a blurr. Captain Wilson stated that no such message was received by the Montoro, as in a wireless communication with the Koombana two days before the cyclone the latter ship reported all well.

AB notes:

Captain Wilson of Montoro scotches the rumour.
