COASTAL PATROL.

The Police Department have taken every means in their power to have the coast patrolled in a systematic manner, and Corporal Lamb, in the absence of his superior officer (Sub-Inspector Houlihan) has issued instructions to his men right along the coast to Wallal. A man has been despatched from La Grange half way to Wallal south. From this point a man will patrol half way north to meet. From Wallal a man will be sent half way to Condon. From the latter point a boat, kindly placed at the disposal of the police by Mr. Cross, of M. Rubin, after first patrolling the coast from Hedland to Wallal, will search wherever it may be thought necessary by the police at Hedland.
