BALLA BALLA WIRE.

This morning the Commissioner of Police received the following wire from Sub-Inspector Houlahan at Roebourne:--"Constable Cusack reports from Balla Balla that Constable Growden has returned, having found no trace of the lugger Karrara. He saw that all the luggers were evidently bound for Port Hedland. One was dismasted and in tow. The lighter Mary, bound from Fortescue to Cossack, was wrecked east of Lewis Island on the night of the 21st inst. Shaw, the owner, and the Japanese crew were rescued on the 24th by the lugger Mavis, and brought to Cossack."
