The inquiry into the loss of the Waratah was resumed today.
Sir Wm. White. formerly director of naval construction, declared that there was no foundation for the statements that the vessel was badly constructed or badly balanced if the cargo were disposed as stated in the evidence, the vessel could not have foundered through ignorance.
