Steamer Koombana Neaped at Broome.

Yesterday a telegraphic message was received at Fremantle from the post master at Broome, stating that the steamer Koombana had been neaped at the Broome jetty, which means that the vessel has been left high and dry, owing to the extreme lowness of the tides. The message further stated that the Koombana would probably have to remain there from two to four days before the tide would give sufficient depth of water for her to continue her voyage. This is no new experience for vessels trading along the north-west coast, and on many occasions steamers have been considerably delayed by the neap tides.
