Notes on the weather for the week ending February 9, 1910:--
The week opened with fine and clear conditions throughout the S.W., whilst elsewhere it was cloudy to overcast with light isolated showers. Temperatures were mostly cool in S. coastal areas and over the southern portions of the goldfields, due to the presence of a 'high' on the S. coast, but the remaining portion of the state was generally under the influence of the N.W. 'low,' high readings being the result, with very sultry conditions at many of the coastal stations toward the latter end of the week. Scattered thunder showers have been of daily occurrence in the tropics, but only a few heavy falls were reported, Broome recording 263 points on the 7th, and Cossack 219 pts on the 8th...
