PROFESSOR BRAGG AND THE WARATAH.

It has been rumoured in the city that Professor Bragg, who went home to England in the Waratah when she made her initial voyage from Australia to England in January, 1909, had written to Sir Charles Todd to the effect that the steamer was "badly balanced." When seen in regard to the matter Sir Charles absolutely denied that the professor had even hinted at such a thing. On the contrary, he hod referred in the highest terms to the steamer and the officers. In one letter, to Sir Charles Professor Bragg said that they had lately experienced some rough seas and stormy weather, "but in this beautifully steady boat we hardly feel any motion."
