The s.s. Koombana.---As announced on Saturday, the s.s. Koombana left Fremantle on Saturday for Sydney, where she will be docked. Her running in the Nor'-West mail service will be taken up temporarily by the s.s. Burrumbeet. The Koombana has been very unfortunate during the two trips she has made on this coast, as, in addition to spending several days on a sandbank at Sharks Bay, she struck some submerged object at Broome, and also grounded in coming alongside the Geraldton jetty. The result of the Broome mishap was that the Koombana dented some of the plates in her bottom and started the cement under her tanks. She will take up the Nor'-West running again in July.
