During yesterday forenoon the s.s. Koombana, while landing her live stock at Owen's Anchorage, bumped heavily against Robb's Jetty from time to time, and damaged a pile. However, later in the day, Dame Rumor again became busy and circulated the 'news' that the Koombana had been injured as the result of tho bumping. A diver went down during the morning to examine the steamer's bottom, as rumor had it last week that the Koombana had been damaged at Broome by striking some object. It is understood that the only mark visible on the vessel was a spot near the ballast tanks, which showed a scratching off of the paint.
