When entering this Port this morning (18th port) the ship struck the bar, the leads were in line and the tide signals showed 17ft the ships draft 17/frd 18/aft the least water given buy leads was 4 fathoms. It was blowing hard from the N.E. with a slight sea. I do not think the ship sustained any serious damage as wells have been carefully sounded since and ther is no sign of leakage.
