Disgraceful Delay

Roebourne, April 4.

The jetty tramline has been completed, but no communication has yet been established between Roebourne and Cossack. Cossack residents are doing their best to block progress. Our member is doing his best to help us, but it is impossible to beat the departmental apathy.

Residents telegraphed daily to the Railway Commissioners for a special tram to meet the Koombana passengers and cargo: the town was without food. Finally, assent was given to establish local traffic, when it was discovered that no horses were available. More wires to this effect were sent to the Commissioner, and the incident ended.

Quantities of the Koombana cargo are still at Cossack."
