The dining room is a beautiful apartment in carved oak, upholstered in green plush. A most ornate dome goes through the ladies' drawing-room and other light is obtained by Stone's patent ports. The drawing-room is of dyed sycamore and satinwood, with purple moquette upholstery, the effect of the combination being most striking. The apartment and the promenade deck is reached by a finely carved mahogany staircase. The promenade deck is 220 ft. long, without a break. The after-end of it is the smoking-room, in oak and scarlet peganoid seats. It is fitted with a bar, lavatory, and bathroom and writing desks.
