Preliminary Works Start Immediately
After over half a score of years' promises, the Hedland-Marble Bar railway has reached the stage of a promise to start the first mile of railway, almost immediately, as will be seen by the following wire:--
Perth, January 18.
The Premier states that the departmental construction of the first mile of the Hedland-Marble Bar Railway has been approved by Cabinet, the work to commence almost immediately. "UNDERWOOD."
